My name is Mitchie de Ruiter, and I am an enthusiastic, digital artist from the Netherlands. I have always been a storyteller. From a young age I would draft up worlds, characters and tales, and have continued to do so well into adulthood. My enjoyment of storytelling has carried me all the way to studying Animated & Illustrated Storytelling at St. Joost (Breda, The Netherlands).

I enjoy exploring different characters and their innerworkings in my work. Lots of my inspiration is drawn from (medieval) fantasy, folklore, psychology, the strange and the mysterious. I like making sense of world around me in my art. My work is bright and eye catching, but I do not steer away from stories I feel need to be told.

My main interest lay in visual development work and project management, but I like to see myself as a creative jack-of-all-trades. I feel like every angle of a creative production tells some type of story, and I enjoy exploring those. I work best in a group of creative individuals, as I enjoy bouncing ideas around and they motivate me to see new angles I hadn't considered before!
